Delivery profiles let you set different delivery rules and fees for specific customers or regions. This is useful for managing logistics like cut-off times, delivery days, and fees across different zones.
Default Delivery Fee
Before setting up delivery profiles, you can configure a default delivery fee that applies to all customers who aren’t assigned a specific delivery profile. To do this:
Go to Organisation > Settings.
Set your Default Delivery Fee.
This fee will apply unless a customer is assigned a delivery profile with its own fee structure.
Creating a Delivery Profile
To create a custom delivery profile:
Go to the Shipping tab in the main navigation.
Select Delivery Profiles.
Click Create Profile.
You’ll be asked to fill in:
Title – e.g., "Melbourne Metro"
Description – optional
Internal Description – optional, for internal use only
Delivery Fee – amount charged if no free delivery threshold is met
Free Delivery Threshold – e.g., free delivery for orders over $100
Cut-off Time – e.g., 4 p.m., one or two days before delivery
Order in Advance Limit – how far in advance a customer can place an order (e.g., up to 30 or 60 days ahead)
Delivery Days – select the days of the week deliveries are available (e.g., only Tuesday and Thursday)
Example: If you only deliver to Melbourne Metro on Tuesdays and Thursdays, simply tick those days when creating the profile.
Managing Delivery Profiles
Once a profile is created:
Go back to the Delivery Profiles page.
Click to view or edit any profile.
To assign customers, click Add Customers and select the customers you want to associate with that profile.
When assigned, the profile will automatically apply at checkout:
Customers will see the delivery options and fees available to them.
Merchants, when creating an order on behalf of a customer, will also see the assigned delivery profile in the cart.
