Merchants can add products to their B-Cart catalogue at any time. This article explains how to create a product and the optional fields you can use to better organise, price, and manage your inventory.
Who Can Add Products

Merchants only: Customers do not have access to product creation or editing.
How to Add a Product

Go to the Products Tab
In the left-hand navigation, click Products. -
Click "Create Product"
At the top of the products list, click the Create Product button. -
Fill in Required Fields

Title: The name of the product.

Price (excl. GST): Enter the product price, excluding GST.

These two fields are mandatory to save a product.
Optional Fields and Features
After entering the required information, you can choose to fill out additional fields:

Product Category: Group your products by type for easier filtering and organisation.

Unit of Measurement: Define how your product is measured (e.g., per item, per kg, per box).

Supplier: Link the product to a supplier to assist with tracking and procurement.

Product Image: Upload an image to visually represent the item in the catalogue.

Charge GST: Toggle whether GST applies to this product.

Track Stock: Enable inventory tracking for stock-controlled items.
Additional Actions

Link to Accounting Software: Products can be linked to Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks from the Integrations page to support invoice syncing and reporting. Note: B-Cart does not create products in these systems. If a product isn’t linked, it will still appear on synced invoices as a text line item, not a linked product.

Add to Dynamic Pricing: Include the product in dynamic pricing rules for customer-specific rates.

Assign to Product Visibility Groups: Control which customers or customer groups can view this product.
Final Step
Once all desired fields are completed, click Save to add the product to your catalogue.
